Welcome to the  Alpha Tau  chapter of  Gamma Phi Beta  at McGill University

The women of Gamma Phi Beta at McGill University strive to live by our four core values—love, labor, learning and loyalty—in every aspect of our lives. We pride ourselves on the positive reputation our chapter has earned in the McGill Greek community over the past eighty-four years.

Our chapter is home to an incredible group of intelligent, diverse, fun-loving, and beautiful women that I am proud to call my sisters, and most importantly my friends.  Through our core values, and the unwavering support of sisterhood, we aim to empower women- ourselves and those outside our organization- to follow their passions and to make a difference.

The Alpha Tau chapter was founded on September 26, 1931 at McGill University. Here at Alpha Tau, we are proud of our continued active involvement within our sisterhood, on campus and in the greater Montreal community. We are honored to be a part of the creation of the first ‘sorority,’ a term meaning sisterhood, coined for Gamma Phi Beta at the time of its founding, in 1874.

With lifetime educational and leadership opportunities, Gamma Phi Betas are equipped to reach their potential, at any age. As Gamma Phi Betas, we aim to inspire the highest type of womanhood through education, leadership, and service to humanity.

By exploring our webpage, I hope you discover some of the reasons I fell in love with Gamma Phi Beta, and the many opportunities that our organization has to offer. Joining Gamma Phi Beta is a rewarding experience, and one that lasts a lifetime!

Love in IIKE,
